**please note; this pack is in development and may have a broken texture here or there. let me know if you find one so I can add it to the update list.**
The pack is intended to build off of, and enhance, the original textures from Minecraft. The most significant changes come with connected textures between many typical terrain blocks and some building blocks. Blocks with connected textures are indicated with a * below.
You need to install Optifine to enjoy the connected texture aspects of this pack.
Below is a list of blocks that have been significantly changed or altered;
- *Brick
- Cobble (added 3 additional textures and then randomized them)
- *Stone Brick (added 3 additional textures and then randomized them)
- *Grass (" ")
- *Sand (" ")
- *Dirt (" ")
- *Coarse Dirt (" ")
- *Gravel (" ")
- *Sandstone; each of the textures have been updated and then color matched better with sand
- Red Sandstone; significant retexture to work with sandstone and brick textures
- *White Concrete; the CTM was designed to look like peeling plaster over brick and stonebrick.
- Iron; block, ingot, iron golem, Iron door, and iron trapdoor.
- *Leaves; all leave blocks have had 2 additional colors and modified textures added, then the blocks themselves have two new planes (at 45 degrees to the original block) added to change the character of the blocks to make them less blocky.
- Endstone has had a color shift and a new brick texture. They now align with sandstone in color and can be used together. This might look a bit odd in use on a multiplayer server because the colors are somewhat different the default texture, but on a single player world it opens up options.
- Netherbrick; all stairs, slabs, etc. have been made a dark charcoal gray with a very subtle red undercurrent color. It's meant to look a little like glowing charcoal like there is some heat inside the core of the block. There are also 2-3 variant brick textures that are randomized.
- Netherrack; very slight desaturation and color shift.
- Birch blocks; all stairs, slabs, etc. have been slightly color shifted to better align with sand. It's very subtle but helps.
- GUI has carrots instead of meat popsicles...just for fun (and vegetarians)
- Crops (wheat, carrots, potatoes, beets, etc) have had subtle changes made to desaturate color and add a little variety for landscaping.
- Cactus; desaturate and shift to a more subtle color
- Sugar Cane; desaturate and slight color shift
- Dark Oak Fence; texture change to work well as a new, thin tree trunk.
- Other wood blocks, planks, stairs; very small color tweaks to adjust saturation and color balance between wood types in effort to have them work better together.
- Clay colors/textures; several colors desaturated and shifted. For instance, white clay was made white instead of an off yellow.
- Noteblocks and Jukebox textures have been significantly changed to appear as crates; there are 3 noteblock textures and 2 jukebox textures that randomized on placement.
- New, custom sky texture.
Lot's of other small tweaks to other textures as well.
This is the initial, beta release on this site. It is my intent to wait for the 1.13/1.14 release of Minecraft's new textures to update this pack. Many of the new textures will be incorporated and enhanced in the same ways.
Planned Updates 1.12.2:
- Full CTM Glass updates
- Cobble CTM with stone brick
- Rework of chest artwork
Once 1.13 texture pack is finalized, the majority of the textures in this pack will be updated to work with the new artwork, keeping the same goals in mind.
