Does Potato Tick?

This is a fork of Does It Tick, rework codes & delete some incompatible features & retain its core features & add more features.

For Minecraft version 1.16.5 and 1.18.2, Mod version 3.4.0+, DPT requires Observable as a dependency. (Excluding 1.19.2, because Observable doesn't overwrite the method but redirect one of its parts, so DPT needn't include it)

Reason: Both DPT and Observable overwrite a Minecraft method, but DPT has higher priority so observable's mixin doesn't work. This will make observable's behavior strange/unworkable or cause crash. So, the change of observable mixin is now included in DPT to make sure it works fine.

Features

If an entity is too far away from the player, it will no longer tick.

If the fluid is too far away from the player, it will not tick.

Limit the tick speed of dropped items in the world, in the player's opinion, they will appear a little stuttering, but behind the visual stuttering is the performance improvement (this is turned off by default because some affect the game experience, if you need to open it yourself).

Config

Living Entity

An entity whitelist, where you can write down the registry names of entities not to let the tick limit take effect to these types of entities.

You can also set the maximum distance that the tick limit takes effect.

A modID list, where you can write down the modIDs not to let the tick limit take effect to all entities of the mod.

A function switch to remove erroring-ticking entities. If you turn this on, your game or server will not crash when entity ticking exception occurs and the entity will be removed. More specific instructions can be found in the config description. (Only for 1.16.5 and 1.18.2)

Fluid

You can also set the maximum distance that the tick limit takes effect.

Item Entity

An item list, where you can write down the registry names of items not to let the tick limit take effect to these types of items.

If you do not enable “slow down items in the world”, this item list will be meaningless.

Compatibility & Integration

This mod has integration with FTB Chunks, the above functions will not take effect in the claimed chunks.

Compatible with RoadRunner.

Incompatible with Adaptive Performance Tweaks Spawn Optimization.
