What kind of pack is this?

This is an cooperative, asymmetric, skyblock-style, tech-focused questing pack.

• Cooperative: This pack is designed and built to be played in multiplayer, by people working together. You'll need to cheat in singleplayer, it's barely possible to progress with two people, and three or more is recommended.
• Asymmetric: One person has a special role, more on that later.
• Skyblock-style: You will start in a void world, with a single tree sitting atop one piece of dirt and one block of bedrock. Everything else, you have to make yourself.
• Tech-focused: You will be able to discover all kinds of technologies, but there is little to no magic.
• Questing: Progression in the pack is primarily through unlocking various mods in the quest book.

Who should play this pack?

The pack is designed for groups that want to play modded Minecraft together, but find that one or multiple players tend to rush ahead in progression, leaving others confused or reluctant to participate, because the base is already set up, the resources aren't theirs, everything useful seems to have already been done, and they may not even have a clue about how things in the base work. In particular, one of the targets is streamers' community game nights, which often suffer from this problem.

How does the pack address that problem?

There are three major differences between this and a standard skyblock-style pack:

• In this pack, everyone gets their own floating island. You can visit each others' islands, but you can't bring any items along--inventory is stored and swapped whenever you switch islands. So everyone has their own place to build a base, and while others can help you, they have to do it with the resources you have available. And, of course, you can choose to lock your island and refuse visitors.
• Progression through the pack requires Inspiration, which is generated by accomplishing milestones. Each milestone can only be done once per player, and they must complete it on their own island. So there's a strong incentive to share knowledge and help each other: you'll make more progress that way!
• One of the players is special: the Inventor from the pack's name. Only the Inventor can spend Inspiration and advance the tech tree. This means that if the Inventor isn't playing, there's a hard cap on how far everyone else can progress, preventing them from completing the pack alone. For community game nights, the streamer should take this role; it was built for them.
