1. Disclaimer:
This modpack is in development and may break anytime. Worlds will burn, the nether will freeze over. FTB backups is installed, but I will warn you this once: If you upgrade this pack and mods get removed forcibly (because mod authors will possibly refuse to keep supporting 1.18.2), to sustain stability, your world will very likely be LOST (except it was just some mod that changes AI or the sort). Keep this in mind. I will not be able to save you and your progress. I am just a modpack dev, not a deity. I hope it will not come to this but I cannot and will not promise you to keep your progress. This notice will be removed if things become more clear and I can assure you of better stability.

First Aid: before you do anything new that might break something, use the chat command: "/backup snapshot". This saves a backup that will not be overwritten or deleted automatically. Please do your research on how to locate it. I might not be able to help each case because it's not my own mod and I'm quite busy myself.

1.1 Found a bug? Let me know! Narrow it down as much as you can yourself, so you make it easier for everybody. This will help improve this modpack a lot. I will also mention anybody who is so kind to help out! Please proceed to 5. Known issues and check if it's listed before reporting a bug. If there is a demand to communicate testing further, I'll happily provide a Discord server. Let me know in the comments. I don't know how many people are interested in this so I cannot measure anything right now.



2. Narrative:

Minecraft. A place full of possibilities. You wake up in a world anew, only to realize... things have drastically changed. There is a buzzing sound in your head.

 

A grey horizon, petrified stone that is mischievously grinning at you. There is no life, there is almost nothing to mine. But you're not going to let that stop you. There is this one spot in all this vast nothingness that is yearning for you to help this forgotten world. Grab a shovel and a pickaxe and mine yourself downwards to free this sleeping beauty from its slumber.

Footsteps from close-by. You look up from your newly dug cave to see a familiar face. A villager, who's been trapped in this bedrock-bottom with you. Maybe, just maybe you will find a way to reclaim your world.
And maybe, some day you will start dreaming of building a rocket to take off into the sparkling night sky, collect gems and ores from outer-space and keep expanding 'til you kiss the sun.
Back from your journey, you sit down at your dinner table and watch your companions happily running through the fields outside, that you freed from their curse. You smile. This is all thanks to you. This is your new world. And there are royal equines out there. Will you acquire their loyalty and power?
Or will their beautiful but dangerous world become your night-mare?

3. Juicy information:

You always wanted a Modpack that makes your world just that tad more magical? You want to enhance your farming, cooking, housing, build an elevator to access your mines, or just chill on your farm while you watch your companions run around the fields? Collect bird species, breed horses by genetics (realistic horse genetics mod included!) and color, snatch a Koi for your tank? Build a rocket? Visit Mars and mine it all?
Well, now you can!
This modpack is aiming to soon feature the release of Star Worm Equestrian Mod for 1.18.2! THIS MOD IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS MODPACK VERSION AS I AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON THE UPDATE THAT WILL INCLUDE IT! (I just yet haven't had the time and energy to upgrade the modpack, dw, I definitely will.)


This pack is aiming for a realistic magic world. You will have magic spells, you will have nice enchantments and mechanics that are cool but (hopefully) balanced. You will not have pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows and fairies cluttering everything with fairy dust (except for SWEM horses, you get the special treatment because I love this mod in all its shapes and forms). You will have beautiful cherry blossoms in all kinds of shapes and mods. You will have enhancement tools. Build a road that lets you run faster? Build large doors? Craft leather from skin that snakes naturally drop? Check. You will have lots of ways to collect what you want and need and you have a few nice enhancements to how you access things. Want more mushrooms? Build a mushroom log. Or just want your nasty neighbor Dinkelborg to be chomped by a bear when he enters your front yard without permission? Sure, just do it. You want backpacks to store more things, or you want to heal yourself with a gourmet dinner you made by yourself? Throw around eggs together with villager children on Halloween? Hate a certain mob? Deactivate it, just to relive the good old days. You can craft things out of nothing and reduce places to nothingness, fill up holes by throwing a magic orb, or revert it by breaking down the curing blocks. Grow a tree, chop it down. Or let your villagers build their own defenses and let them wake up in their own bed when they trip and fall down from a 300m cliff (it happens). Howl at the moon together with your ferret friends and watch potatoes become chonky. Or just fish yourself senseless, do it if that's what makes you happy! Things are more smart, more convenient and loot tables have nice additions (maybe OP, you decide for yourself). And some things are currently bugged, my bad (maintaining ~200 mods is a... fun! very fun. Github.fork) (Beta stands for possibly bugged, jk).

4. Mods: (Modpack Version 0.1b04) (Currently ONE of these mods is made by me. Please help fix issues concerning the other mods by informing the mod authors if you find something wonky and know where to look. Contact me if you contacted the responsible author(s) but couldn't get a good result out of it, what you tried and the exact issue, including links. I might consider changing the setup if there is something gone bad in here.)

 

What I claim is that I spent dozens of hours testing and evaluating the compatibility of these mods and therefore, if you want to test/copy/change anything (e.g. to create your own huge modpack that you plan to upload publicly, after you played mine) mainly based on how I put the mods together, at least mention and contact me, okay. That's all I ask for (If you say you didn't, I will not be able to prove it anyways, but you know, be kind and honest, please. I spent a lot of time creating this). And maybe help fix any sort bug that you encounter alongside, if you can. Also, the logo ans splash screens are 100% mine, so don't copy/pasta them. That's uncool.

5. Known issues on Version 0.1b02:

- Copper armor is currently displayed incorrectly. Bug report is pending.

- Villagers don't spawn predictably upon village unpetrification and world generation. Use a Spawn egg for the meantime. (Found an underlying issue? Feel free to contribute information here: Link)

- Minor Mapping issues that are caused by block sizes being shown incorrectly. Might not be fixed.

- The config of my fix mod is not working right now. Iโ€™m trying my best to solve this issue; I cannot promise Iโ€™ll succeed though.

- In some cases, crops don't drop from farmland blocks and instead disappear. Destroying the farmland under it to get back the crop/seed. I can't fix this, but it's possibly related to XP From Harvest. Sometimes it helps to reload the world/restart the game or pc, sometimes it doesn't fix itself.
Also, don't try to open the "XP From Harvest"-Config on runtime. Game will crash. I reported this already.

- Villagers might not harvest overweight carrot crop. This is supposedly because of the crop size underground. Please keep this in mind when designing your moonlit farms.

 

- A bunch of mods are in the pack but set to disabled, this is because I havenโ€™t found a solution to make them work correctly, or there are incompatibilities, missing features, etc.

 

6. Future Plans

This modpack is huge. What I plan is to maybe add a little further narrative or some enhancements myself, if I EVER find the time to.
What is scheduled is the testing of implementation of multiple more mods and a possible reduction on other sides. I will collect those changes carefully and test things out a little until I release V 1.1 into the wild, no worries. I am currently playing on this pack myself, so I might find more issues or places to enhance. I also plan to give the choice that will leave the petrification out, because I know how many folks rather explore than restore, I gotcha (will think about the how when it's come to be stable in here).
Definitely will update this pack to implement Star Worm Equestrian Mod, plus testing if I will be able to make it run with all its other Star Worm mods, which would be super awesome. I made this modpack as soon as I heard that SWEM will be releasing V2 and V3 on 1.18.2. I will also stay on this version, so if you're a dedicated mod author who loves this version (because, yes I am scared of the Warden and I don't want the 1.19.x updates and all extras at all (except the frogs, gimme the frogs)), share your thoughts with me if you feel like it. If you got a mod that might fit in here nicely, I will give it some thought. I want to keep things at a moderate difficulty level and not clutter too much in it. I will though think about even more season support. I got some ideas but they need more testing and validating before I give the next version a go.

This is also my first official modpack so I hope you enjoy these shenanigans. I am very happy to hear some constructive feedback. Just be aware, I am busy.
