Fabric's Optifine
This is a fabric modpack that adds most of Optifine's features (plus a few QoL features), but with much better performance.
Optifine Parity Mods
(some mods are listed in multiple places)
Sodium (main performance mod)
Iris (shaders)
Resolution Control (allows you to play the game in higher / lower resolutions (similar to changing Optifine's render scale in shaders))
Lamb Dynamic Lights (held and thrown items (such as torches) give off light)
Continuity (connected textures)
Lambda Better Grass (grass on sides of blocks)
Logical Zoom (zoom by holding 'c')
Fabric capes (adds capes from several common forge mods)
Performance Mods
Sodium (again, main performance mod)
Lithium (optimizes world updates, chunk loading, and world generation)
Starlight (optimizes lighting updates)
Resolution Control (allows you to play the game in higher / lower resolutions (similar to changing Optifine's render scale in shaders))
Lazy DFU (disables world version updating until needed)
Smooth Boot (makes minecraft load better)
Better Biome Blend (increases max biome blend radium and optimizes blending)
Entity Culling (stops hidden entities from being rendered)
Ferrite Core (reduces ram usage)
Hydrogen (reduces ram usage)
Enhanced Block Entities (optimizes blocks like chests)
Krypton (optimizes networking)
FPS reducer (limits fps when you're not using minecraft)
QoL mods
Better Biome Blend (increases max biome blend radium and optimizes blending)
Resolution Control (allows you to play the game in higher / lower resolutions (similar to changing Optifine's render scale in shaders))
Better Sodium Video Settings Button (re-adds default video settings along with sodium's settings)
Reese's Sodium Options (makes Sodium's options a bit better and more approachable)
Mod Menu (adds a mod menu since fabric doesn't already do that)
Cloth Config (mod configuration)
NOTES
- There's a good chance the app will try to add Sodium since it's bundled with Iris instead of installed separately. If it does do that then you'll have to go to the mods folder and delete it from there (see bottom for help)
- If you use a texture pack, you'll have to choose between Continuity (adds connected textures) and LambdaBetterGrass (adds grass sides) since they don't work together.
I did not create any of these mods, and all credit for them goes to each mod's author
Controls to know
O: Opens Resolution Control
J: Opens shaders menu
K: Toggles shaders
