Create a Colony

Build, invent, plan, trade and manage in this immersive village building focused modpack.

Your colony: Supercharged
Colonists are more useful, with increased building speeds, faster digging, better ore chances and useful recipes. Avoid the slow MineColonies start!
Create paths to help your colonists get on their way with a tiered system. While dirt paths only provide a modest boost, better paths increase movement speed further. Further boost your colonists by creating a beacon!

Your villagers: Reimagined
Complete villager overhaul with Minecraft comes Alive. Interact with villagers like never before and expand your village to gain useful perks. Trade like never before with many useful trades added to vanilla jobs, and extra jobs such as the Horticulturist and Oceanographer.

Your inventions: Integrated
Invent beautiful create contraptions to complete your production chain with machinery rebalanced for this modpack.

Your world: Alive
Seasons change, flowers and grass grows, animals eat, metal rusts and bricks moss and crack. Player-like NPCs wander the world to build, fight and interact with. Tweaked and integrated in this modpack to provide an immersive and enjoyable experience without being obtrusive.

Your game: Your choice
Through putting your colonists to work, trade, and contraptions you are able to obtain every useful resource without leaving your colony. More dangerous enemies will come investigate sounds and lights when you do decide to venture out of the save borders of your village. Want the village managing experience? Your village can provide for you. Want an even more relaxing experience? Everything is obtainable in peaceful difficulty.

Additional Info

About food
This modpack includes spice of life and a nutrition tracker, encouraging you to eat a variety of food. Open the nutrition screen from your inventory (or press V (default)). Eating a balanced diet gains you additional bonuses. Punishment for not eating proper food is dimished. Use the book from spice of life to track the many food varieties in this game. Gaining additional hearts in this modpack through SOL is not as easy! To encourage this system, and cooking/exploring the many dishes this modpack adds, hunger is present in peaceful mode.

About MineColonies
Building and mining by colonist is (almost) twice as fast as normal. Colonist work in the rain. Miner finds far more ores, and finds slightly more rare ores and less coal.

Colonist walk 15% faster on dirt paths. 25% faster on stone. 30% on Domum Ornamentum bricks and endstone. Beacon buffs apply to colonists.

About villagers
Many additional trades have been added to allow your colony to self-provide. Villagers pay more taxes. Beacon buffs apply to villagers. Wandering trader sells many rare items.

About the world
Days are longer for longer colony working times. Nights are shorter. More enemies spawn at night. Bricks will crack and moss will grow on buildings, but it will not hinder MineColony buildings. Fix buildings by using shears on moss or bricks on blocks, or use the builder repair option. Various colonist jobs can reprocess the weathered materials.

About exploration
This modpack is focused on managing your town, only a limited amount of mods which enhance exploration have been added for this reason.
