-[ SATURNINE MEMORIES ]-

Brought to you by ZeyD_

Long ago this realm of caverns and valleys was like one, united and thriving. On this day, ravaged by time and darkness, it has fallen into ruins, without an ounce of light. All that is left is the sorrowful and confused memories of some wandering souls. Explore the remains of a civilisation from another time, fight the darkness and bring back the 5 essences to their sanctuary to restore hope in this collapsed realm.

The Primordial Sanctuary awaits you ! Delve into the depths of this collapsed realm by exploring some gigantic and stellar landscapes, while trying to avoid dangerous traps and enemies. Originally made for Strawberry Jam #33, this map has been expanded to a larger scale (cough cough overscope cough cough) and features some custom mechanics, but also dozens of custom mobs and items, mainly thanks to PearUhDox’s Cartographer datapack.

Saturnine Memories focuses on a progressive, combat-oriented gameplay with a higher difficulty than my previous project, with numerous traps and enemies. This map offers a variety of original and gigantic environments. With an inspiration from the CTM map Divinity’s End or the map series Ragecraft and Simulation Protocol, this second project presents itself as the result of my overall progress in mapmaking, and principally aesthetic-wise. After way too much waiting, it’s finally there ! Expect a map that is quite hard for newbies, but of medium difficulty to more experimented players. The map can take 8 to 12 hours of playtime. Fair warning : due to the enormous size of the areas, playing with a render distance of at least 16 chunks is recommended to fully enjoy the map. The map is still playable with a lower render distance, you might just miss some great views and parts of the landscape. Oh and the map should be compatible with up to 3 players. Anyway, good luck, adventurer.
