A stackable lossless pumpkin & melon farm design for 1.11

This farm uses one of the harvester designs shown in my pumpkin & melon farm collection.

Stacked designs usually are not 100% lossless since pistons have the tendency to also push items back into them after they have extended. This can be fixed by placing a single cobblestone wall right infront of the piston. If this is done the drops will always be pushed right over the edge of the block. There is a chance for some items to be flung slighty sideways which can cause them to bounce back again. To fix this both sides next to the wall have to be walled of so the items have no chance but to fall down right away. The blocks used for this have to be 1 block wide but have some air space in the other orientation since full 1x1 blocks will cause the drops to be flung back. For the middle section fence gates are used since they are exactly 1 block wide but have enough air space on both sides. To stop items from landing on the other sides trap doors are used since they are cheaper, easier to place and have even more air space.

While this design uses more blocks compared to most horizontal designs, it uses less tech-blocks and needs no rail system with minecarts for item collection. Each individual stem is surrounded with as much farmland as possible to increase the melon / pumpkin spawn rate by around 80% for each stem. Each additional piece of farmland is either covered with string, a button or a torch to make sure no plant can grow on top of it.
